This cruise is fabulous. Keukenhof is unbelievable. If you enjoy flowers and gardening, this cruise is a must. Bruges was fantastic, a taste of real Europe. Shopping here was great. Wished that we would have had the entire day to do the canal cruise and see even more!

We had a terrific time. The entire staff was great and the service was warm, friendly and efficient! Every meal was delicious and the service staff was fun and always smiling. We absolutely loved the included shore excursions and learned a ton. The included beer and wine was a big hit for sure. We are coming back at the end of this year to do the Danube and referred four couples....we are all ready to go! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

2013Best vacation we ever taken.
We booked Tulips & Windmills a year in advance to celebrate Bill’s retirement. It was our first cruise and we are so glad we chose Viking, primarily because the Longships accommodate approximately 200 people (as opposed to thousands on ocean cruise lines). This made for a relaxing atmosphere and we met so many wonderful people. Our ship was just beautiful and we loved our Veranda Suite. The crew was wonderful! Their attention to detail and impeccable customer service made our trip a most memorable experience. This cruise was the best vacation we have ever taken and we just booked another cruise.

I have taken several Viking trips and they never disappoint. Viking Freya was so lovely and so sparkling clean. It was unusually cold, a little snow even fell as we sailed along, but we came prepared. There is no other way to travel and to meet such nice new friends. I have my next one already booked.

2013The gift of hospitality
We looked forward to the new Viking Longship adventure and were not disappointed. The weather was cold and rainy, but the ship was warm and inviting. The staff took care of our every need. We were already thinking that we had received the best service, and then we were greeted at the airport in Amsterdam for our return flight by a wonderful Viking representative who walked us through the airport’s automated check-in of tickets and baggage. Viking knew how confused we could have been and gave us a final gift of hospitality and care. Thank you for a wonderful trip from beginning to end.

2012Terrific maiden voyage
Just returned from our long-awaited cruise on Viking Njord in May 2012. The ship is beautiful and the staff went well beyond our expectations. The whole trip seemed choreographed down to the minute; smooth traveling from pickup at the airport to departure 10 days later. The tours were great, guides very knowledgeable, buses nice and clean, good drivers, food was fine. Accommodations were great. We were in a veranda suite, nicely appointed and comfortable. It even has heated floors in the bathroom. The shower is great, big and super pressure with a “rain forest” shower head. Toiletries were top shelf; towels and linens great quality and service was excellent. It was a wonderful trip. The maiden voyage of Viking Njord was terrific.

2011The best vacation.
We have been on over 40 ocean cruises on many different lines and ships and Viking River Cruises surpassed them all. Our Tulips and Windmills cruise on Viking Pride exceeded all our expectations from the minute we received our travel documents. The flights were booked with care, the personnel who greeted us at the Amsterdam Airport, the entire cruise staff, the meals (truly 5-star!), the tours, the cabins. The whole vacation was the best. Viking has an open seating policy in the dining room; however, we were four close friends traveling together and preferred to sit with one another. Fortunately, there was never a problem getting our favorite table for four by a large panoramic window. In the lounges and on tours we enjoyed mingling with other guests. Viking’s relaxed format accommodated our preferences. The four of us are looking forward to doing the Grand European Tour. We are now totally spoiled for any other sort of cruise.

Such a wonderful trip! Great ship, amenities, people and food, as well as excellent staff throughout. The history, canal tours, chocolates, tulips, windmills, art, old cities and rural settings were just some highlights of our journey. This was our second Viking cruise and we had a wonderful time. Everyone on board was superb. Food was great and the Program Director and his team did a first-rate job. We had such a good time that we booked our third Viking cruise, Danube Waltz, less than a week after we returned home from Tulips and Windmills.
